Physiotherapy means physiotherapeutic system of medicine which includes examination, treatment, advice and instructions to any person preparatory to or for the purpose of or in connection with movement dysfunction, bodily malfunction, physical disorder, disability, healing and pain from trauma and disease, physical and mental conditions using physical agents including exercise, mobilization,manipulation, mechanical and electrotherapy, activity and devices or diagnosis, treatment and prevention However, various other health professionals e.g., Chiropractic, Osteopathy) use some physical therapeutic methods. A program of physical therapy will typically involve caregivers.

The Physiotherapists in SPASTN follow the Neurodevelopmental Therapy (NDT) Approach formulated by Late Berta Bobath from London. The NDT Approach is used for management and treatment of individuals with central nervous system (CNS) pathophysiology. The individual's strengths and impairments are identified and addressed in relation to functional abilities and limitations. NDT is a hands-on, problem solving approach. Intervention involves direct handling and guidance to optimize function. The approach is guided by the client's reactions throughout every treatment session.

  • Train children for various sports events within and outside SPASTN.
  • Referral to appropriate professionals for medical and /or surgical intervention.
